some facts about you

So a lot of people here seem to judge others solely by their opinions here and act as if they know everything about you based on opinions you may have.
got me thinking, most of the time you only really see opinions from people on here and not so much people themselves giving a insight into them personally.
so care to share some facts about yourself here?

I will start
English is not my native language.

moved countries when i was 6 years old

I have 3 jobs. Security, merchandizing and brewing Mead.

I live in a small town

I have 2 brothers and one sister

My parents are still happily married

Grew up extremely poor

Cut off most of family

used to travel back home to Norway yearly but with the price increase of everything gone up. That is not really doable anytime soon, havent lived there since i was 6 yet still get homesick.

alright well that might be enough

English is my fourth language (after Flemish, Dutch and French), and I understand German too.

My dad had MS when I was a child but gets through the pain for about forty years now. It did mark my upbringing heavily. But staying at my maternal grandparents was heaven too.

Got sexually abused by an aunt when I was a child. Shouldn't have happened, but bad things are happening each day.

I have dyslexia but consider it only yet another barrier to get through each day.

I was an onely child in a small village. My mom adored me but she died ten years ago now after a brief illness of six months. That's when I returned to churchgoing.

Have a job at the local library that I chose because I'm contributing to my community. Been working there for over a quarter of century already.

Got myself a history degree in my 40s.

@val70 damn you are well versed in languages it seems. Good for you.

what is MS, if you dont mind me asking?

sorry to hear about the abuse you went through and no should never have happened. Bad things do happen every day and child abuse i would put as probably one of the very worst (been there myself)

does dyslexia make it hard for sites like this

sorry to hear about your mother.

working at a library sounds pretty good. Is it a fairly relaxed type of job?

good on ya with the history degree

@Torsten Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common demyelinating disease, in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. And working at a library is far from relaxing, trust you me

@val70 oh okay yep i know what that is. Sorry, I didnt catch on when referred to as MS. I dont know what that would have been like but i imagine a rough thing to see a parent or loved one go through for sure.

damn, haha this whole time i been thinking a job at the library would be this chill relaxed job. It has always sounded amazing to me. That is ruined now 😆
