some facts about you

So a lot of people here seem to judge others solely by their opinions here and act as if they know everything about you based on opinions you may have.
got me thinking, most of the time you only really see opinions from people on here and not so much people themselves giving a insight into them personally.
so care to share some facts about yourself here?

I will start
English is not my native language.

moved countries when i was 6 years old

I have 3 jobs. Security, merchandizing and brewing Mead.

I live in a small town

I have 2 brothers and one sister

My parents are still happily married

Grew up extremely poor

Cut off most of family

used to travel back home to Norway yearly but with the price increase of everything gone up. That is not really doable anytime soon, havent lived there since i was 6 yet still get homesick.

alright well that might be enough

English is my native language.
I was born in London, UK, to Australian parents, and arrived in Australia on my first birthday.
I'm now 66, married, and living on rural land in the subtropics, Tweed, NSW.

I've had numerous unskilled jobs,
was a sculptor and art teacher for 20 years,
dabbled in psychology and counselling,
then shifted into breeding and training Arabian horses -
a big financial mistake.
Now I mostly care for the land, ride, read, and write.

My parents have both died. Their marriage was not a happy one.

Grew up affluent, but parents were alcoholic and profoundly dysfunctional.

I have one sister, cut off. There are no other relatives.

I studied and travelled abroad a great deal when young, but have stayed put in Australia since. Can no longer afford travel.

I've only ever met one person from Norway, a girl in my year at school. She was beautiful, intelligent, pleasant, quiet and very reserved.

Thank you for initiating this thread.
I look forward to seeing the replies.

@hartfire damn you been in a bit of variety career wise. shame the breeding horses didnt work out but at least you gave it a go.
have you ever gone back to London?
yeah i am with you on no longer affording travel. Its rather ridiculous at this point
@Torsten Yes, I did get back to London. Did my BA at St Martins School of Art.
Loved the city in many ways - its cosmopolitan nature, the old architecture, the library of the School of African and Oriental Studies, the parks and museums, and particular spots that became favourites.

If I could afford to travel, I'd love to go by sailboat, and overland on foot, by bicycle, or where possible on horse or camel - any method that wouldn't add to global warming.
