What's fun about having high levels of intelligence? What is NOT fun about low levels of intelligence?
For starters high IQ is VERY unusual.. imagine a classroom in which when a question is asked only one hand is raised to offer the answer.. Imagine ten classrooms where only one hand goes up? There is this ONE person...
People with high intelligence rarely if ever speak of it, they don't have to, everyone else figures it out very quickly when they open their mouths with a solution to a problem or an answer / explanation to a question.. and they give you that look - the one that says "where in hell did that one come from" or "they are correct"
Where does the fun come in? ... For the entire balance of the world a problem is a pain in the neck or worse.. for the intelligent, a problem is a puzzle they solve with a solution or multiple solutions they can rank in order of best to worst... Its not just the solution its the time frame involved - mostly like water falling off a ducks back.. People come to you asking if they can borrow your brain.. and when you do your thing they are like "really?"... These people are effective at getting things done that are otherwise impossible... I have a special old car... it was hit and damaged.. there were NO parts available.. I tried buying used parts and got no where fast.. so I concluded that buying an entire donor car was the answer.. FiNDING a suitable one at a good price was not so simple.. High miles and no rust on the panels I am looking for was the right combination to get it at the right price... I found one.. and all of a sudden the impossible became possible.. The problem was solved the car was saved.. I did the same thing with our sailboat but instead of one million cars having. been produced.. only one hundred sister ships were built.. I found one that was poorly maintained and not sea worthy.. and made a deal with a wrecker for the lead in the keel which the wrecker wanted.. I wanted ALL of the hardware, the hinges, clasps, castings, extrusions.. the parts that were unobtainable.... I got them, he got the keel... a good deal all round.. so when something happens to my boat - I go into the bin and take what I need.. no stress or drama..
When I was working I would walk into a factory look at a production line and increase efficiency - and lower over heads.. My work would have dramatic effects on companies.. I can see what others can NOT see.... I have understandings that most people do not possess...
I have taken our sailboat and optimized sailing performance to a level that exceeds any expectation I ever had... It was a series of changes.. lighter lithium batteries, new technology in sails plus specialty sails.. , a revised design for the rudder, a lighter mast, new instruments.. moving weight on board in terms of location affecting balance.. Then a myriad of comfort improvements that no other boat has.. a revised galley design to improve efficiency and function.. So this pretty, comfortable boat - blows everything it meets on the water away.. and while they are all wondering "how did he do that?" well it happens to be fun...

There are other realizations... not everyone is intelligent far from it actually..... Some people are extremely lacking in intelligence.. In fact huge numbers of people are unintelligent.. and it explains things... AVERAGE IQ in Israel is 115 (world wide top of the heap BTW)... half are higher than this half are lower.. its the ones on the extreme right hand side of the distribution curve that change the world...... AVERAGE IQ among ALL Arabs is 82.. half are higher than this and half are lower.. There are over six hundred million ARABS.. there are only fifteen million Jews.. and the IQ results explain why this tiny number of Jews win wars and why the Arabs can't get out of their own way, why they "love death" why they are jealous... why they are incapable of democracy, have kleptocracies, are economically incapable of competing, why their societies never evolve let alone flourish.. in fact the difference in intelligence between Arabs and Jews explains everything...and it also dictates the specific solution to the problem..
