@JustGoneNow Big step! As I've found out, my psychiatrist told me what I needed to hear, and not what I wanted. Seeing everything around me, in the present.

@Spumoni Mine was medication. I’ve been on the same cocktail of psych drugs for my schizophrenia and other mental illness shit, since back in the psych ward… about 2010’ish (it’s a little hard to say exactly because my time was kind of all warped there,) with the only changes being in dosage… and ever increasing with more and more Xanax (for anxiety) because my main med never really worked for shit… but barely well enough to keep me out of being forcibly brought back to the psych ward, so I’d lie and say I was good to the Drs. A new drug for my condition apparently came out in 2015, and when I finally let my Dr know how close I was to a full psychotic break he said maybe my main drug wasn’t doing it’s job… and switched it to this new one just over 2 months ago. It’s made all the difference. I’m not gonna say I’m normal. My issues are the forever kind, but it’s finally manageable… and that’s enough. I’m pretty strong if my mind isn’t totally fucking me. It’s honestly more than I could have ever hoped for since my adult onset at 31. So damn grateful.
