Do you think that being too intelligent can be a curse too?

Throw in a little humility and those gifted individuals would be fine . However that type of intelligence breeds contempt for those less fortunate and they tend to shun humanity and isolate themselves .

@TexChik Some of us jump into the thick of it. I do it, because I know what it's like to have no one to turn to.
My IQ tested out at 165

@TexChik 🤔 this can happen, but only in the second rate intelligence. at the top, intelligence includes understanding of others.

it is too easy to confuse a highly developed skill in a particular field, with
intelligence... not the same thing at all.

@SW-User wow Zenipoo ! My hubby is very smart .., he won’t tell me what his IQ is ( he was tested) but he has 2 PhDs and he’s the guy his company calls to fix disasters . Luckily , he’s also very personable and sweet . I’ve been under his spell since I first looked up into his blue eyes 😉

@TexChik I love it that you love each other so much! True intelligence to me involves getting involved, and is more than just intellectuality; it's not just book sense, but acuity reading people, and being able to help them, imho.
