Trump said Americans want a dictator because they value safety over freedom

Trump is a piece of 💩 but on this one I agree. Maga is glad to murder immigrants for the appearance of safety even if it's built on a lie so he is right technically. That's why fear is a good motivator. What people don't seem to realize is that there's tradeoffs between more safety and more freedom. More safety means more authoritarianism as cameras, surveillance, profiling, using the army against civilians all come with the aspect of false sense of safety.

So in essence yes maga and fence sitters both want a dictatorship.

TBH, that's true. That's why the media constantly lies about crime going up. They want us to think we have to choose between freedom and being alive. And really, most people would rather be a slave than be murdered.
Thankfully, Trump's brain is soup so he keeps saying the quiet part loud.

@BohoBabe I know that same fear almost worked on me a few times but then you think about it and it's like how logical is this. You always fear the worst out of the most illogical scenarios and you then be like wait a minute.

But that's for the people who have logic anyways, a lot don't question, they just live in a permanent state of fear.

You also have the same liklihood as a car running over you just as much as violent crime.

Unfortunately, people can't stop death or violent death but we live in fear anyways cos we want a perfect death but it doesn't exist. We think of the worst and then try not having it be us but we try to control an unstoppable force what's gonna happen is going to happen.

But ironically the scared people make things worse for everyone
