This made me upset and happy at the same time

Basically a restaurant looked out for immigrants by warning everyone silently with a card on their table that ice was driving past. They handed it to everyone regardless of status or race. Then as they were leaving the restaurant had ice knock on their door and the restaurant closed the door on them.

This made me happy that the community is looking out for others but sad that we need to even do this in the first place.

The card is a great idea though, makes me wonder where I can find them just in case

This could be interfering with federal law enforcement or aiding and abetting a criminal. Either way I hope ICE knows about this so they can take appropriate action.

@HobNoblin If it was a general sweep and they are targeting businesses where immigrants work then they don't have jurisdiction. This is evident when the business said they knocked on the door asking to come in and they shut the door on them.

Ice couldn't come in, they didn't have a warrant.

I know you authoritarians don't understand the Constitution, there's something in your neurology that just feels like doing whatever you want with no consequences because people allowed you to do that most of your life but it's not real life. Sorry you learned the hard way, that's tough especially in adult hood

@HobNoblin Also, a card with constitutional rights being introduced isn't illegal and private businesses do have certain rights.
