We managed to build a rocket and fly to the Moon years before we put wheels on a dustbin!

Cars killing the ecosystem and Americans driving cars shows us what we needed to know. No choice. You won and you had no choice.

I have often said that most engineers would stop over 20 beautiful virgins in order to fuck a mechanic.

@goliathtree any chance you work for ford?
goliathtree · 56-60, M
@Notanymore It has been 22 years since I was in the automotive industry. I worked for a supplier and have been in most of the Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan and Toyota plants in the US at the time.
After spending time at Ford, I swore I would never own one. Then after spending time at GM, I swore I would never own one. By the time I got to Toyota, I figured I would have to change my tune or I would be riding a bicycle.

@goliathtree hahaha. That May be less of a headache. I actually like how easily Toyotas are to work on (comparatively) these days.

To change the motor in a new Ford diesel truck you have to remove the whole cab to get the motor out
Notanymore · 41-45, M
@Lilnonames I've seen that. To change the fuel injectors you have to pull the motor too.

My nieghbor put one on his buick took him six hours had take tire and inner fender liner out as well
Notanymore · 41-45, M
@candycane yeah. The tire.....the inner fender....the coolant reservoir......the radiator fans and hoses.....the washer fluid reservoir....and buy a tensioner pulley tool because a ratchet wouldn't fit.
candycane · 36-40, F
@Notanymore yes that too
