Can I be honest with you? I CAN'T FIND THE SMELL!

So, I keep smelling something strange. It's NOT myself, sweat, shoes, fecal matter, anything you can think of that is related to a human... or a cat (as I have cats).

The first time I smelled something in my purse when I was at the doctor's office. I broke my pinky toe and smelled something in my purse in the doctor's office. It's a weird smell.

Now I smell it in 2 cabinets in my kitchen. Not good. I wouldn't even consider it a foul smell. It's a distinct smell.

Now I feel like I smell it in other places. For example, I thought I smelled it in the refrigerator today. I opened up the drawer and smelled again, but I couldn't smell anything.

I don't know what it could be.

1.) There could be something wrong with your nose or other parts that might be affecting your sense of smell.

2.) The memory thing, maybe something triggers that scent for you.

3.) Maybe that scent is really all there in those places.

4.) Menopause might be right around the corner.

Could be anything. See a doc.

I guess they're all viable but i don't have experience with number 4 (being male)... So in going to go with number 2. Reason being, this has happened to me. Your memory can also play tricks in that you can think you're smelling it somewhere just because it's stuck in your memory. This has happened to me several times even though that smell was never in the place I thought it was.

@Elisbch Isn't so interesting how that is. The mind is so fascinating.
