@msfancypants It's... complicated right. Depends on the nature of the addiction and how much I can actually help. Many people I've stuck with and just helped them pick themselves up when they'd get clean and forgive them for relapses and all that.
Some others I've had to withdraw from because they were so destructive to be around. It's all context and person to person.

@CountScrofula You are absolutely right. I am finding out that everyone is fight their own personal demons. I can't judge anyone except myself. I understand wanting to escape the pain one is feeling. I just choose to do it differently.

@msfancypants Yeah like... addiction is a disease but its also the only disease you can get mad at someone for having. All you can do is make it clear you're there for them, make sure they are aware of their supports (safe injection sites and whatnot if they are in your area) and be there when they're clean.
If this person is loving every second of being high, that will inevitably change and it will be tragic. It always happens. And it sucks. I'm so sorry.
