On here you really don’t know

I only have the one account but I think I understand what he was trying to do. I believe that he was trying to appeal to different people based on how he was feeling. For instance he may have wanted to talk about things he didn't know if you or other friends may approve of and didn't want those people to just block him.

I know some of my replies and posts may not be totally liked by some of the people I have as friends here but they are part of who I am. Someone may block me because they don't agree or maybe just see my point of view on something. I'm ok with that and I don't block anyone.

On another site, many people found out one person was adding them with multiple accounts.... me included. It became a real mess.
I don't see a need to do that. Seems misleading to me.

Some do it to stalk others, not that many, I suspect, but did have one fellar admit to doing so once.

Yeah that is an odd thought. Makes me wonder.

What does anonymity have to do with being who you are.

I think some people create another account in order to let secret parts of themselves out that they are reluctant to talk about otherwise. And I guess others just want to trick people. I just keep my account secret then I only have to worry about the one me.

I have honestly given that real thought as far as different personas but I would give myself away instantly with my big mouth :(

That is a good question. By observation, I am sure I have caught some people using multiple accounts. I get the feeling they create multiples in order to role play or express different sides of themsleves. Still, I would think that would make things confusing for them.

I have only the one account but even here I hold back. Wanting to not be yelled at usually keeps me from saying anything than the most bland things. Weak but anyway.

Oh geez, that would be so hard to keep straight. I can’t imagine trying to remember which account had that story I really liked. Also, do you find yourself replying to your own posts?

Too many crazy people on the earth, made even crazier by the events of the last year and a half!

Here's a thought. Open 2 accounts and then you will never be short of someone to talk to. Argue, rant. or agree depending on how each personality is feeling. Try and keep it to one account per personality or you will be really screwed! LOL
