He left her for the cousin

If a guy knows you like him and not sure if your cousin likes him too. But he tells you he wants both of you and you pretend to be cool with it then he leaves you for the cousin when he knew you wanted him way more. Did he ever find himself attracted to you at all? Or just liked the attention you gave him? (Not speaking from experience)
