I Appreciate Honesty
Honesty is the best policy, as once a wise man said!
I work at a physiotherapy clinic as an Assistant to one of the Doctors. Also, I help people in the course of treatment.
Recently, one of the trainees committed a blunder while using one of the machines during the treatment of a patient. Worst, she blamed the patient for the damage. When, I and Doctor checked the CCTV footage. There was no patient in the room. She damaged the machine by mistake. She lied to me, staff and Doctor.
We called a meeting and gave her the opportunity to admit her mistake. So that we could forget everything and she could start over again. She refused to admit her mistake. As a result, Doctor fired her!...Instead of remorse, she walked away with attitude!
Her honesty could have saved her but...
There's no harm in admitting mistake. I admit it if I am wrong!
What do you say about honestly admitting mistake i.e confession?
