There's a lot of people like you. It's normal to feel down. However, if you feel like a threat to yourself, you may want to admit yourself to the hospital for your safety.

We are all susceptible to depression. It knows no boundaries. No age, gender or race. You're not the first to have these kinds of thoughts, and sadly, you won't be the last. With the right treatment though, you can push through this , and hopefully those feelings will go away. You just need to seek help from someone who works in the medical profession and who knows a thing or two about treating this kind of depression. I hope you can do that, and that everything works out.

it is awesome that you had a moment of clarity!!! thats saying that you have intelligence and KNOW there are other answers. Sometimes we are visited by dark or depressing thoughts. They occur for any number of dozens of reasons, the thing is to talk through them and realize that harming is NEVER EVER the answer....im more then willling to talk with you if you want to......i have accounts on other sites we can pm if youre up for it...if not....i understand....BTW....im not a perv or anything and i dont WANT anything except to help and be a friend......you have my word on that....

Please don't. You are not alone, but there is a lot of help that can change the way you think.

It's really important that you not allow yourself to sink into that comfort, it is too hard to come back from some times. If it gets to bad you should seek out the advice of a local professional. People trained to walk you through such issues will point out things you or any of us non professionals would never even think of.

Thanks guys. I'm not depressed, but my thoughts about coping with sadness tend to wander off trail sometimes.

Thanks for clarifying... we wanted to be sure. I have been on an Army watch that monitored Army deaths, and sadly many are suicides.

My daughter used to do this and I really don't understand it, (she never explained what it was about) if I wanted to hurt myself I'd probably start doing press ups till I collapsed or something.
