Helping the preparations

Saadia and I are busy making the food for the Shabbat, and whenever we are cooking we just wear our aprons, to save our clothes getting soiled or smelly from cooking smells. Her father the rabbi doesn't mind as long as it is just us three indoors, if there are guests we wear linen dresses.

There is a lot of tidying up that we do, so we have the vacuum cleaner out, furniture polish and everything. I always volunteer to do the bathrooms, but Saadia says that makes her feel a little guilty because she ought to help me at the very least! There is so much work, it is like being in service in the ages past.

You speak so highly of Saddia and her Shabbat. It sounds really special.
