Would you support universal basic income for women only?

I hear alot of worrying about couples not wanting to start a family because of financial stress.
I figure cutting women (and women only) a check every month would solve that. It'd also give them an option to stay home if they want.

Thoughts?

I think people who don't have basic financial/mental stability shouldn't start a family in the first place.

Paying healthy people not to work is a insult to people with disabilities and to people who work hard.

@SW-User That’s the most logical course but biology doesn’t always follow logic. I have a hard time making life hard on a child who didn’t ask to be born to parents who didn’t make great choices.

I didn’t restrict it to healthy women. I said all women. You can build sidewalks for everyone to use. Not just people with legs

@NoahB @Entwistle If someone is disabled and needs constant care from others for their daily needs, it is not wise to have kids.

There can be exceptions on a case to case basis.

I choose not to have kids for similar reasons.

@SW-User i respect your decision but i think thats a choice for the individual to make. either way i see no reason to keep the money from disabled women
