Would you support universal basic income for women only?

I hear alot of worrying about couples not wanting to start a family because of financial stress.
I figure cutting women (and women only) a check every month would solve that. It'd also give them an option to stay home if they want.

Thoughts?

Why for women only? Why not for everyone?

@BohemianBabe i say why in the post. to incentivize stay at home wives
@NoahB But why not also give men the option to be stay at home husbands?

@BohemianBabe I mean I would but most men seem dead set on having women stay at home and take care of the kids. I'm trying to solve problems here.

Besides. If the man has a wife/girlfriend with 2 incomes he can be a stay at home husband with her. why would it matter?
@NoahB It matters because it gives the woman more agency, even before she gets married. And what if there's a divorce?
Besides, most working-class people are suffering. We should be helping all of them, not only some of them based on gender or race or whatever.

Also, I don't think most men are dead set on having a stay at home wife. But even if that was the case, that should be up to the couple. All the government should do is give everyone the same social programs, then let them figure it out.

thats a good thing
even before she gets married. And what if there's a divorce?
what if there is? who cares. There are divorces with this dynamic all the time already.
Besides, most working-class people are suffering.
this would help them.

I said gender specifically. Don't muddle this up.
@NoahB Why is it a good thing that women have more agency than men?

And why would it be better to help working-class women as opposed to working-class people?
