Would you support universal basic income for women only?

I hear alot of worrying about couples not wanting to start a family because of financial stress.
I figure cutting women (and women only) a check every month would solve that. It'd also give them an option to stay home if they want.

Thoughts?

Yes. With record inflation, government spending money it doesn't have, and a over 30 trillion national debt, yes, a universal basic income for women is EXACTLY what this country should do rn 😑

@NoahB I certainly do. Cut the government by 75% and reduce the tax burden and the people will have the money to make babies. When we had our 6 children the government took 25% of my income and my wife was able to have babies and stay home to look after them. Now the government is taking 55% of a couples income and no one can stay home to look after their babies if they are even able to afford a baby. More government is never a solution to any problem.

@Djac17 I mean, we do *have* the money, we just choose to spend it on net-negative ethanol production, megayachts, carrier groups that'll never see combat, inefficient road infrastructure, healthcare administrative bloat, and ridiculously supply-constrained housing.

@BlueVeins I agree that we have an abundance of wasteful spending, but switching that spending from one area to another won't solve the problems I mentioned. Government would just be spending the same amount, but on different things. And we have Trillions in unfunded liabilities, so our debt is a lot larger than it actually is.
