I think people hate my kindness just in general, like it's a weakness, like I'm soft, or a people pleaser. In other situations, be it work!..I think they dislike it, because it doesn't fit in with their goal!!..their targets!!...You see??..they say "The customer comes first"...but with not just the competition amongst other stores to hit sales targets, and to stop them from going bust. There is also the inside competition between managers, and promotions, who's achieving standards here, and going above and beyond here..and as much as those at my level might be to attend the customer and keep them satisfied...I'm working under a manager who wants to reach ridiculous numbers!!....and couldn't care less if I've help a disabled person, or calmed someone down with bad mental health,...or assisted the elderly with their shopping....One even said that we shouldn't help a woman who tends to get agitated and a little grumpy when assisted...but she has had a stroke, half her body doesn't work, she needs help into the chair...And she should have a carer from the National Health Service in with her...but if we have supplied such a thing, helping others in the past, I reckon we should help her all the same...We talk about invisible disabilities, (this being visible as she can't properly function one half of her body..but I wouldn't say she has a right to be ignorant...I just think, that as companies progress..they try to understand things, diversity of all types, by putting up boards, and advertising it.."This is who we are!!, This is what we support"....but they need to turn it into actions 🎬 ...an try to understand....I helped the lady, untill I was told we we're short of staff and there was nothing I could do but I spoke to people about it..and questioned our help as staff?? And how far we should go???....I like to be there for people who are in need...a deaf woman came in with a carer through my checkout...and kept returning to my checkout .....she then wrote me a letter, and got me gift which was so sweet!!!...Then her carer came in to see me and said she's been isolating during the pandemic but wanted to say "Hello"...And apart from personal letters...I've had great customer feedback in general...Mental health awareness...Invisible disabilities...or visible....I like to do the right thing.....but apparently these days...if you're working for a company the right thing is to just make profit!!!!.... Tell them the dear one is the correct one!!! Even if it is not 😔😔😔
