I think of this often even though I am not a Christian. When someone asks me for socks and I also have shoes, I'll give them both.

But obviously it's not sustainable. I need shoes too.

honestly a big part of me does believe it's immoral to own anything above the bare essentials, when there are people going without all over the world. It's a weird part of reality that we've all kind of just come to accept.
