Three Angels!
As we have walked along the route we have taken we have met opportunities to help others, but to help each other too! It's a long distance! Finding a route that kept to the Mediterranean coast was difficult as there are estuaries where you have to go inland a fair distance for a bridge!
Yes, there were times we couldn't motivate each other well enough to do anything but hook a thumb and hope someone could fit three girls and their packs into their car!
Indeed the best opportunity is a lorry driver with an empty rig! We can get out of the sun for a while and sleep! He's good enough to wake us as we get to where his route separates from ours and off we are unloaded!
But along the route we have found the chances to help others for a bit meal! They have been good times where we have surprised our neighbours with a strong effort, even picking crops for a small meal and some fruit or vegetables to carry off with us! There's always enough to drink, and we are careful with alcohol and the sun when we need to be!
