I Enjoy Helping Others

So last week on the train this girl in her late 20s early 30’s. Gets on the T
She is carrying her purse her shopping bags and her iPhone with her earbuds tangled between the purse and shopping bag

I indicate I can help. She waves me off and continues to struggle with her load.

At this point I am like look here I am going to help you. I lift the bag with my finger so she can use her hands to untangle her earbuds

It’s ok to be social. You don’t have to isolate yourself because reasons

i think that, in this day and age, we are conditioned to expect the worst in others from a young enough age that it becomes difficult to accept help - even when someone insists on helping us.
