I Want to Help People [Helping Others]

So I'm going to train in counselling/psychotherapy. I'm reading already, learnt so much about things I've already done, and just how integrative my approach has been thus far. I really do select from a wide arsenal of techniques without realising it :) But now I know more about them, and it's a big thrill to find the thing that actually makes me tick. Game on, world. If you'd like to talk to me personaly, you can message me or email me. I'll PM my email address if you ask me for it :) Someday I'll be able to make a living from helping out. That's my dream.

I'll still be here, giving 100% as always. This is my continual professional development time. Throwing myself into situations I have little experience of, noticing what helps what doesn't, and how you guys react to anything I say - even if it's seemingly random/somewhat unrelated. I want to help everyone someday.

I own an organization that employs over 300 coaches/therapists.....inbox me

I need a therapist/ coach but I won't pay. Something about someone making money off my confusion seems wrong, impure. So I guess I bueve I don't really need it. Friends and faith should be enough. I don't believe in paid therapy for me. Maybe for extreme cases. Idk

I actually feel the very same way, except now I've started looking into it I see how much they really know, how much more of a technique base they have. And refined views on when something is likely to work. That's starting to change my opinion. But like I said, I'm still here, on EP. No way will I ever leave this place. It's gold. If only for the fact it's still free except voluntary donation. I have found too many lovely strangers to call friends. To look out for. To give to. It's interesting you say that though, paid cases may well be business people who have the cash and expect the therapist to simply make it go away...
