There is a tiny bit of validity to their opinion. How many people have things like phone numbers memorized anymore? I've also noticed a lot of people can't spell unless it's being corrected for them.

People used to write down numbers for the exact reason. Even as a kid before we had phones I couldn’t remember so my mom gave me a notepad. @SooperSarah
@666Maggotz There have always been people that wrote things like that down. I mean in general the number of people that have numbers committed to memory has fallen.
I love and use technology whenever I can. One thing that technology had taught me is that redundancy is important. Losing one's phone shouldn't be a major crisis. I can't believe the number of people that don't even know their own cell number. There's a difference between being proficient with technology and being completely reliant on it.

@666Maggotz It's one example of how useless some people become without a device in their hand.
I don't know why people feel the need to bitch about it though. I assume they're jealous that they didn't have it as easy. I mean, who wants to use a phonebook?

People have been using tools to make their lives easier for centuries. It doesn’t make you useless lol @SooperSarah
@666Maggotz Back when I was doing IT work I was at a client's store. He had his ISP on the phone to change some things on his account. His pin was the last 4 digits of his cell phone number... the cell phone he left at home. He ended up driving to the at&t store and presenting his ID just to get his own phone number. Useless.
Like I said, there's a difference between using tools and being completely reliant on them. It's like a construction worker that has the fanciest new power tools, but can't manage a job using hand tools when needed.

@SooperSarah eh I don’t see a point in why people care how others live their life. Let them be dependent 🤷♀️ Just leave everyone alone 😂
@666Maggotz yeah, I don't see the need for all the whining either. Like I said, I think they're jealous.
