It's more or less worked since humans began so it would work.
Wouldn't work for me. Works for you. That's the great thing about the modern world. We have a choice. You're exercising yours, I'm exercising mine. As long as no one gets hurt within reason (we all hurt sometimes) or breaks any laws who cares.
