I know I'm posting a lot but what does everyone think of traditional gender roles and are they still relevant to society?

I come from a matrilineal culture in the SouthWest of the US and it values traditional gender roles. Everything is about balance and Man and Woman. Even our blankets. I think it works by the virtue of still being around in the 21st Century. I prefer them. But of course with modification given societies tech advancements and social change.
