Hypocrisy in society.

Hypocrisy in society.

I find so much hypocrisy in just about everything. It really doesn't matter in what. It seems to be everywhere in society.

In beliefs, in business practices, in politics, in interactions with people, in international relations. In literally everything that is related to humans, hypocrisy seems to stick it's ugly head in it.

It's so bad that I really find it a miracle that anything is accomplished in anything.

So how can this hypocrisy be over comed?

This there any possibility we can stick at least to our own values as diverse as those values are?

I hope I don't need to give examples in which everyone is hypocritical. Because if I do there's really no hope at all, if you can not see your own hypocrisy.

Those that do would be so arrogant as to believe they are perfect in there own values and always right in everything.

The hubris of that situation is amazing. Yet even that frequently occurs even on this site.

Do I believe I am always right within my own values which are quite different than most of society?

Heck no. Yet I do at least attempt to improve myself within my own values.

Yet that seems to be a far cry from everyone else's practices.
most people, if not all, are hypocritical. Some in small ways and others in huge, glowing brilliant neon sign sorts of ways.
Not all hypocrisy is intentional.
It's best when you can recognize it in yourself and make changes, or understand why.
and stay away from those fuckers who are merely liars.
People accuse me of it, but they never explain when I was on the other side of the political spectrum or said something that was opposite of what I am today like I've pretty much always been on the left side of the political spectrum so what personal value did I preach and then break is what i'm left asking. Because it's mostly conservatives reacting to my progressive politics like you're another hypocritical leftist, and I'm like when was I ever on the right?

and honestly I got kind of tired of the charge because when it comes to debate it's really just a distraction if a person is a hypocrite, because that doesn't really prove their point is wrong. It only makes them one.

If I'm really intellectully honest with myself it feels good to call people hypocrites but it doesn't actually offer a true refutation of their claims and instead of deploying ad hominens I should actually focus on refuting their argument instead of criticizing their character as a lazy workaround.

@BetweenKittensandRiots problem here is understanding what anyone believes in.

Many claim to be of certain values. And have never changed their values. Yet when it comes to their actual values they are hypocritical. And often always have been hypocritical.

Heinlein actually was a believer in "going along with society" that's hypocritical. Despite his non religious beliefs.

@Mamapolo2016 I really don't believe so.

Simply because no one is perfect even within their own values.

Would have to name someone currently living that is perfect within their own values.

@Mamapolo2016 didn't say that I am the only one attempting .

I only said that I do attempt and that it "SEEMS" to be a far cry from everyone else.

Seeming is not actuality.
