I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

For a parent to be in tune with their child, they must be a person who is aware of and understands emotions in general. He must be observant so that they can see what their child can and can鈥檛 do as they develop. And the parent must be willing and able to put in effort and the energy required to truly know their child. A well-meaning parent who lacks in any one of these areas is at risk of emotionally failing their child 馃

Well maybe.. but I think, in general most parents do most of those things, most of the time - without even trying.. But almost no parent does it all of the time.. And some parents notably do it none of the time..
Most people can spot emotions I think

@Adaydreambeliever my mom wasn鈥檛 good at caring or spotting my emotions. But then again she has a chronic mental disorder 馃

@Cinder sadly that happens, my mum was seriously rubbish at spotting my emotions or even giving a damn about them.. Mental health in the mix is really not going to be helpful.. In some ways, while it's sure not your fault and you are the one who got damaged, it may not have been entirely your mom's fault either?

@Adaydreambeliever i forgive her in a way, but I鈥檓 still not over it and have nightmares sometimes.

@Cinder and you may well have nightmares for a while.. but it does sound like, with your reading and thinking about this, that you are working through it.. give yourself time and patience to keep doing that x
