I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

While it's true that I'm quite fascinated by human behaviour, there are those other moments when I'm completely astounded by another person's actions.

Case in point, while I was at the grocery store earlier today, I saw a car pull into a handicap space with no handicap decal. So as I continued to put my groceries into my car, I saw a teenager get out and lean up against the side of his car and begin to text. About this time, I saw a person with a handicap decal pass the space where this teen had parked his car and have to park 8 spaces down because of his selfish actions.

By this time I was seriously irritated and began to say something, when another customer beat me to it. As I prepared to leave I thought to myself, Karma is so gonna pay this teen back someday because what he did was way more than just selfish, and he negatively impacted a person with a disability all because he couldn't be bothered to think about anyone but himself.

The holiday season is upon us and the stores are getting busier by the day, and while it's a pain in the ass to park a long way from a store's entrance, it's even farther away for someone with a disability. Common courtesy and kindness really do go a long way during this busy time of year.

I never count on Karma although I sympathize with the thought.
“We reap what we sow.”
That is the biblical parable by Jesus that parallels the concept of Karma,
that God is not mocked.
@Aliveshock I believe in what comes around goes around. Saying karma was a shorter way to state it. I have come to believe that even if it takes years to occur, if you wrong someone intentionally or not, there will most likely be a moment when you are in a less desirable position and a past moment strikes a chord deep inside you. It might even be a defining moment or an epiphany. But I do think the universe has a way of giving back what we put out into the world.
@ScarlettBlue
We differ greatly there.
I have no belief that the universe contains an animus.
We do. I believe that the tides eventually turn and it's during some of these moments where wrongs are righted. I admit that my belief has more to do with believing in the greater good and not from a biblical point of view.
@ScarlettBlue
I only believe that which is established.
I believe in taking a leap of faith even if the proof in front of me might not support my actions. In my story, I suppose my leap of faith is to believe there will be a moment sometime in the future where this teen will experience a similar injustice and then he will understand the magnitude of what he did today.
@ScarlettBlue
My Faith is in a creative God
that loves us.
