I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

While it's true that I'm quite fascinated by human behaviour, there are those other moments when I'm completely astounded by another person's actions.

Case in point, while I was at the grocery store earlier today, I saw a car pull into a handicap space with no handicap decal. So as I continued to put my groceries into my car, I saw a teenager get out and lean up against the side of his car and begin to text. About this time, I saw a person with a handicap decal pass the space where this teen had parked his car and have to park 8 spaces down because of his selfish actions.

By this time I was seriously irritated and began to say something, when another customer beat me to it. As I prepared to leave I thought to myself, Karma is so gonna pay this teen back someday because what he did was way more than just selfish, and he negatively impacted a person with a disability all because he couldn't be bothered to think about anyone but himself.

The holiday season is upon us and the stores are getting busier by the day, and while it's a pain in the ass to park a long way from a store's entrance, it's even farther away for someone with a disability. Common courtesy and kindness really do go a long way during this busy time of year.

Agreed.
How about sparing the turkey while at it? That would add compassion to your mix for this time of the year.
@teervij There are so many different ways to show compassion and kindness during the holiday season.

@ScarlettBlue And not murdering a sentient being tops the list.

A murderer cannot get away by insisting that he is being compassionate in other ways. Murder is murder.
@teervij You seem very passionate about this particular topic. I'm sure others would relate. Perhaps you should write a story about it since your topic was not the topic of my story and it deserves a voice all it's own. :)

@ScarlettBlue Thank you. But I respectfully disagree. Your story is about compassion and kindness and very much relates to what I am saying. So it very much deserves a voice here in this thread.

I acknowledge your opinion, but I respectfully disagree. My story highlights a specific situation and shines a spotlight on how another person's selfishness and lack of compassion and kindness caused undue hardship on a person with disabilities. At no time did I shine a spotlight on murder of any kind. As the author of this story, this is my opinion but I do thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.
