I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

“ If you and my son get a divorce , I rather not be a part of my grandchildren’s life at all “

Well, I was being nice when I told her that I would love for her to be a part of the children’s life no matter how the reconciliation efforts end and in all honesty her answer brought me a sense of relief .
However , I still can’t understand this one!
What kind of a grandmother would say that?
Maybe someone here can explain that to me ..

I can’t. But I pretty much lived it when my ex and I divorced. My kids were 4 and not even a year old. My ex MIL actually told me I should have never had my son.

@SW-User Honestly it was fine. I just told the ex his parents could contact and/or see the kids every other week when he had them and to make sure they knew not to contact me ever again.
