I totally agree with you. I'm horrible at small tasks anyway I get bored and move on
@Sassychick420 Really? Not noticed that.........yet. ;-)
Sassychick420 · 31-35, F
@MaBalzEsHari because I'm not bored yet
@Sassychick420 I'll make sure you don't get that way then. ;-)

I hear you. I'm a quiet person and don't talk much. I remember a couple times I was called out for not being talkative. I always thought I was weird or there was something wrong with me. I've experienced social anxiety my whole life because of this.

Small talk is so boring to me. When it happens, I feel like sticking knives in my eyes for funsies. 😅

I much prefer to have an intense intellectual conversation about something that fascinates me.

@MsSwan Yes! Exactly! I'm not a "people-person", the life of the party, an extrovert. I'm just not like that. Why can't others simply accept that?
@FormerAtheist We need to start an "Introvert Awareness" movement. 😆

You must be fun at parties
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@amy02 I don't go to parties.

To me it's just so silly and pointless, the exchange of ideas when such an exchange is superfluous at best.

A case of pot-kettle-black?
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@ArtieKat Nope.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
why hate something which is essentially so well meaning?
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@FormerAtheist If you believe that's what it is, then that will be what it is.
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@Matt85 That doesn't even make sense. What is, is, regardless of "belief"!
Not always. Sometimes people are being polite yes but sometimes they want to know because they care. @FormerAtheist

@SW-User I love joey
Gawd, you’re a drag. And I don’t say that often. 🤨
Piper · 61-69, F
There is nothing "fake", really, about people in public spaces speaking to those who are sharing it with them. Most times, it's just acknowledging them as a fellow human.
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@Piper Why would anyone need to do that though?
@FormerAtheist Because it's human.
Well I like small talk, it often leads to bigger conversations and is polite and social grease. How would you start every conversation with every stranger, with some deep probing question? That would be creepy.
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@CrystalSkull That's just it; you don't start conversations with "every stranger". Every single one of them? Why would you do that? 🤔
@FormerAtheist every stranger one chooses to talk to, it’s really not that hard to understand. In my country people talk to one another all the time, it’s part of our culture to be friendly, smile and say hello and start random conversations on the street. It’s good manners if someone greets you to greet back. Sure some people prefer to be quiet I do too at times but good manners and social etiquette never go out of style.

The footy is interesting to some, so maybe consider diversity of interests not just your own
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@BeefySenpie Why should I do that though? If I'm just not interested in something, I can't pretend to like it just for the sake of engaging in a pointless conversation. That just doesn't work.
You don't date much, do you?
Sassychick420 · 31-35, F
@MaBalzEsHari I actually agree with the person. I'm horrible at small talk. Talk about aliens weird shit I'm all about it lol idk different from person to person
@Sassychick420 Aliens are small. ;-) I love to talk about aliens too. ;-)

I have a solution for you, move somewhere cold where the folks are reserved

like Antarctica
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@FormerAtheist no offense, but you're not going to change the culture. it would be easier for you to move.

that's like me expecting women to start preferring guys like me just because I complain about it hah.
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@pancakeslam If I changed the culture, that would be a GOOD thing!
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@FormerAtheist I would change places with you for a month. that would be refreshing.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Pack your stuff and go to a country with such culture then, lol. 😂

@jshm2 t has nothing to do with "inability." It's just boring af.
FormerAtheist · 26-30
@jshm2 Some humans are social "animals". Many are not. You see, the reason for this is that we're not all the same, we're not like bees or ants. Some of us actually enjoy being alone, and some of us recognise the fact that many if not most people are just stark, raving mad, and should be avoided in any case.
Just look at the world around you. It's filled with violence, decadence and insanity! I don't want to be a part of that.

Well your type dont need be around me
