We are viewed as equal under the law (at least technically in the US)
Obviously, most people aren't going to compete on an equal footing with LeBron James on a basketball court or to challenge the world's great minds on the quiz show Jeopardy.
That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be treated equally under the law.
However, even in the US, sometimes money can afford an advantage to the wealthy....and in some countries it's much worse.
