So how is equality compatible with freedom?

Are they compatible?

It's a challenge because freedom by itself is a slogan. Free from what or free to do what?
Where freedom exists in a context of values of respect, equality doesn't threaten anyone's freedom that I can see. But inequality opens up the abuse of power, and that inevitably hinders freedom of others.

@Elevatorpitches Yes, equality promotes freedom <=> inequality restricts freedom.
@Abstraction equality might not promote freedom for some tyrant that wants to own everything

@Elevatorpitches Yes, that's the point I made in my first response. But that isn't equality. That's inequality at work.

How can there be equality when there is no freedom for the weak ?

Disparity shall prevail.
@in10RjFox despair maybe
