What really is equality? Does it empower? Does it break taboos? Does it enable self expression fully? Man and woman? Every man and woman? What about the wealthy and the poor, how does equality work? What really is equality?

I think it is fair to say that currently men have more power economically and that is made obvious with the income not being equal for equal work. There is also a lot of unreported and reported sexual harassment in the work environment.

I saw the Equal Rights Ammendment in Indiana during the early 70s. If you have a different definition from what was originally derived in the US, I am very interested.

Please expand. I took a class in Women Studies in 1977 and take this very seriously. Equality as a misnomer is a beginning argument.
