Why doesn't SW just put up a 'dating Section'!? (Details!)

We already know that most people are here for that anyway. So why not just put up a section for "dating" only. That would nicely separate the people who are here solely for dating and the others who are here for whatever other boring stuff there is to do here.

No, most people here are married or children, so they shouldn't be here for that. One of the reasons EP closed (supposedly) was because some woman who met with a poster from the site ended up getting murdered. Aren't there enough actual dating sites out there ?

@bijouxbroussard: Seriously?

@bijouxbroussard: a poster?? Sad! Real sad!
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard: however, I wonder if its all the more reason to separate the 2 groups
@maybesomeday: Yes. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/08/09/columbus-woman-slain-in-minnesota-met-suspect-online-her-husband-says.html
@TheBlueWay: No, there would be no point. This isn't a dating site and yet there's always someone trying to make it one. There's an adult section here, yet people are still sending adult content in the common areas and unsolicited to posters. So, no---they wouldn't respect any other boundaries the site tried to impose.

@bijouxbroussard: Apparently the victim was only 26. Darn! That is pretty sad! Was that the reason they discontinued EP? Which one do you think is better, EP or SW?
Seperate the two groups... yeah cause no one has ever lied about being single! There are a lot of stories about that murder! One is they met in a group on ep, about suicide etc and there were plenty of them! The point is who ever tries to spin a site like this it always ends up being a dark space not a safe space! @TheBlueWay:

@bijouxbroussard: Apparently committed suicide, so not murdered.
@TheBlueWay: I'm pretty sure the murder and the ensuing publicity factored into it. EP had been better in the beginning than it was later when the kids discovered it. SW comes closest to being a replacement for EP, but it's different.

@Ginaa: Risk can be considered fun by some people. However, there are certain precautions. Like meeting in public places and not disclosing private addresses for long etc. But you have to realize that even in RL, people meet people who end up harming them, even more than they do online. Its just a refection of our broken world
@maybesomeday: No, the man confessed. And even if you're suicidal, it's still illegal for someone else to kill you. He was sentenced to 42 years...

@bijouxbroussard: I have read a few articles. She had mental issues and wanted to end her life, and they met up so he could do it or something. Whether true or false, yes of course it is still murder. He looks murderous too. Glad he's behind bars.
SW-User
@maybesomeday: he 'looks' murderous!? Lol! 😂 You need to take it easy kid. Before you start running around accusing people of "looking" like a murderer LoL!
It is, you're right, but I think it is even more so on a site like this and ep, boundaries can be quickly broken down...that's never a good thing for ones survival!

Nice touch 🙄@maybesomeday:

@Ginaa: survival! Tehehe! This isn't a jungle Ginaa and we aren't animals. You would be pleasantly surprised that most people aren't bad at all. Its the few bad tomatoes that make the whole chalice spoiled. But I think its unsafe to live with an unrealistic fear and mistrust of people
maybesomeday · 26-30, F
@TheBlueWay: Why do you bother talking to me, man? You spill out some absolute shite.
SW-User
@maybesomeday: I do? Can we take this to the inbox. I would love to ask you a couple of things
@TheBlueWay:
But I think its unsafe to live with an unrealistic fear and mistrust of people
Men can take this attitude for granted. Women, not as much.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard: do you know the meaning of the word paranoia?? However, I do agree that there must be certain safeguards to ensure safety
@TheBlueWay: Like I said, you probably can't relate. The things a lot of women have to consider to insure their personal safety would likely sound paranoid to you, because it's not necessary for you.
Thank you so much! I was so wrong in my assumptions, thank YOU! WOW! @TheBlueWay:
SW-User
@Ginaa: wuut! What assumptions were you making???
This site is FABULOUS! I thank it so much, please don't seperate me... for real? 🙄 @TheBlueWay:
SW-User
@Ginaa: ehm! Im still a bit lost
