Wouldn't think so, not once sprouted. Also be careful of fungicide sprayed onto seeds if you buy them. Better to grow them and harvest your own seeds. Be careful though, they are a serious drug.

@Kuronekko: yes. I've ingested the treated seeds before, in large quantity, and the results were not so good. I tripped, and tripped hard, but was violently ill. Probably because of the pesticide, and also, the husks themselves are not good on the gut.
What I have here is a packet of them that I soaked for a couple days, and they all split open. I think I might take all the fleshy stuff out, wash it under water for a bit, and eat them. I want to see if they have any effect at all. I have a few more packets here that I will sew and wait for the new seeds, to get more serious with them.
And yeah.. LSA, in larger doses, is extremely powerful. And more spiritual than LSD, I have found.

@mougywolf: I've read about people extracting the chemicals by grinding and mixing with water then sieving out the solid stuff. Maybe that's a safer way to go as it does seem to be the husks that cause the nausea. I just thought I'd put a warning here as people may see this post and be tempted to try.

@Kuronekko: Good thinking, and pay no attention to the stoner wolf who be throwing caution to the wind. ;)

@Kuronekko: T 0:00 BTW ;) I'll let you know.

@mougywolf: please do, I'm currently researching psychedelics.
MougyWolf · 36-40, M
@Kuronekko: Well, it's been about and hour, and I can say that I am 90% sure that it is not simply placebo, that I do in fact feel a slight psychedelic effect. Nothing substantial, but I find that my perception of color has intensified a little bit, and I feel the slight inclination in the directions that acid "moves" my mind.
I'd describe it as a rather mild trip, with not much nausea from what I ate.
It's put a nice touch on the evening.

@mougywolf: how much did you have, and we're they the sprouted seeds?
MougyWolf · 36-40, M
@Kuronekko: One packet worth, It was approx 1 gram of wet fleshy pulpy insides of the seeds husks, and yes, they had sprouted, so it was a small tentacle of stem cell, and the membrane which forms inside the seed, which was folded up in a similar fashion that brains are folded upon themselves.
Again, the effects were very mild at this dose, and barely at threshold. It was a slight tickle of some familiar synapses, I would say, a micro-dose.
The last time that I took a substantial dose of this chemical, I consumed the extracted lSA off of 1 oz of un-treated seeds. Which I will admit was an over dose. I ground up the seeds into a powder with a coffee bean grinder, and dissolved it in water over night, and used a coffee filter to strain off the husky bits.
It was overkill. While I don't regret it, it was a bit much for me to handle. I felt I connected to an outer worldly inter-dimensional being, which was amazing, but it was the persisting voices I would hear in my head for many weeks after my trip that I found most alarming.
The thing about "ergine poisoning", speaking for only myself at least, is that certain effects of it are rather long lasting and play tremendously on one's perceptions. And I also need to admit, that these heroic dose experiences, coupled with heavy use of cannabis, while being incredibly educational, had triggered in me a few times over, some episodes of psychosis to which I need to seek professional help for. However, I feel rather confident that I can approach this substance in future, with a greater understanding of how I will react to it, and better moderation in scaling back my doses accordingly.
At the end of the day, no.. a life time, I will always hold respect for these chemicals and the power that they hold.

@mougywolf: very interesting, thank you for the info. Have you ever done dmt? I haven't but after hearing many people's accounts of it, I'd love to try it myself.
