I will give you the perspective from the kid side. My Dad was 48 when I was born. Although I knew he was a bit older than most of the other Dad's, it never bothered me at all and he was very much involved in my life as much if not more than other Dad's were to their kids. If he takes care of himself and is in good physical condition, he might ask the same questions about you that you are pondering about him!
