Are family and marriage valuable institutions?

I think so. They promote emotional stability more oft than not.

I think they used to be; generally speaking, of course. I'm not saying those values don't exist, but what I am saying is they are becoming less important :)

@Peekaboo: I believe it is, whilst some might say it's the way Society itself leads us. I'm old ... lol, but my Mother taught me to respect my wife, to ensure that I took good care of money and teach my children to do the right thing. I did/still do those things (just like many others have) And yet some things I see, or get to hear of, has me wondering what it is that's being taught these days.

Society changes as we move on. I wouldn't say it's anyone's fault, but there are changes in how things appear to work within a family. But then; I'm getting on a bit, so maybe some might say I am being pedantic. lol ... 😀
