I am intelligent. I am kind.

@sometimeslonelytoo: I am sure you are :)
sometimeslonelytoo · 51-55, M
That is kind of you to say :) Well, opinions differ on the first point, though I hope you always find the second to be true :)

Oh... It says top two, which I interpreted as the most commonly heard compliments. Is that what you meant?
WildHeart · 41-45, F
@sometimeslonelytoo: Kindness is by a unique quality not everyone is willing to acquire. I appreciate a kind individual.

@sometimeslonelytoo: I would say its one in the same don't you think? Either way if those are two most commonly heard then I am sure it must be true.

There's not enough of it in the world, I think, and I appreciate it too :)

Well I think sometimes the compliments people hear most often, might not be what the value the most. Often I hear beautiful women complain that they keep being complimented on their looks more than anything, though (of course) there is a lot more to them than that!

@sometimeslonelytoo: This is very true, I only pay heed to compliments coming from people who truly know me. As good as it sounds to be complimented on my looks I have grown to feel even more special if someone had to look beyond what lies on the surface.

I think it's pretty fair to say that looks can be quite attention-grabbing, but I too often find that in the absence of a kind heart I lose interest despite them. I also always find individuals who can hold a conversation with me the most interesting of all :)
WildHeart · 41-45, F
@sometimeslonelytoo: After all the latter can be rather difficult, please know I speak from experience.

Sometimes I just wonder if people's attention spans have been growing shorter and shorter..? A long time ago, people used to read books much more. Now it's watching things more, which usually involves images that cut and change much faster... I don't know... Call me old-fashioned, but a delicious meal, in a restaurant with wonderful ambience, in the company of someone engaging in conversation is from my real pleasures :)
