Do you like the concept of being diagnosed with a "mental illness" by doctors who dont know a damn thing about you?

Idk, in school i was one of those kids who was in Special education. The school thought that there was something wrong with me mentally. I mean, i appreciate them taking the time to recognize that i have something wrong with me 🙄 But did they seriously had to call in a specialist to try to tell me I have a "mental illness" because of the way i acted? I was child!!! All children are weird!! How you gonna sit down with me and observe me for ONE DAY and tell me who i am? I just hated that. Maybe im overreacting but, what was the point in that? But now the same thing is happing to my sister who is 8!!! PEOPLE, LET ME CLEAR THIS OUT FOR YOU, YOU CAN NOT DIAGNOSE A CHILD!!! SO STOP TRYING!!! Stop trying to prove that you know shit cuz you got your phd or whatever degree you got. I mean, you can give a piece of paper to anybody and call them a specialist! Good God. Sorry for the long rant but im just done. Im pretty sure I dont have Asperger🙄🙄🙄 Im pretty sure i have ADHD of some sort but nobody wants to diagnose me with that. I think im aware of who i am.

You are also not a doctor and if they did not say it was adhd then it is not adhd. Accepting your diagnosis can only serve to help you

Look, i was 9! I had a lot of shit going on. Any child is gonna respond "different" if they had to go what i went through. But you see, they dont know what i went throguh and according tho their check list, i was qualified which was bull shit if you ask me. I should had explain eveything that was going on instead of them accusing me of something im not. Its like labling me as "a white girl" cus i love Starbucks even tho im latino. They should had diagnose me with depression or something cuz it was pretty bad. And now they are after my sister. I was so emotional....not high function like people with Asperger. You see the concept?

And from my kid;s youth, though more from my wife's 35 years of teaching, " being brown or black and being called "white" means you are smarter than everyone around you and you make them want to drag you down to THEIR level rather than let you soar to YOURS?

@ChipmunkErnie: Basically, i was upset and needed to rant on this topic. Also, there is a stereotype stating that "white girls" drink starbucks. Lol i dont know who started it but i love that shit. Dont label me white just cus i love starbucks. Dont label me with Asperger just cuz I act a certain way
