The healthcare industry is a growing field! And the percent of people who are elderly is growing!

I am ready to retire. But I am too poor.

@JoyfulSilence: lol I wish too, but ya I'm in the same boat.

Someday I will retire, and have a nice pension. I also have savings to live off of. And Social Security if I live long enough and it is still around. I will be OK, eventually. I just wish I did not have to wait for it, and when I am older than I am now. I already feel like an old man.

@JoyfulSilence: Sounds like you'll be fine, aww sorry to hear you feel older than you are. I know what you mean though, I sometimes feel way older than I am. 😕

I could take better care of myself, and perhaps feel younger that way. In some ways, I am still mentally young. In others, not so much.

I think the feeling is mostly mental, though. Sort of like a lack of enthusiasm at times. A feeling like, "Why bother? I'd rather just take a nap." Also, I live alone, always have, and am lonely. Perhaps if I had a girlfriend to share my life with I would feel younger?

@JoyfulSilence: I can totally relate, I was on my own with my kids for 5 years. They were the reason I got out of bed some days, also the reason I'm so broke...lol I agree having a partner to share life with is definitely better. :-) The kids keep me feeling young and old at the same time as my daughter gets ready to drive and graduate. :-)

But I have no experience. I have no kids. I am single, and always have been.

@JoyfulSilence: You got that right!! Well there are a lot of advantages to not having kids, but hey you're still young enough if that's something you want in life.

I never wanted to be a father and do not want to be one now. Too much responsibility and drama. Even if I did it seems too late. I do not want to chase after kids now. I want to relax. I want to retire, not have arguments with teenagers.

Kids can be adorable, though, when they are not squealing! Yet I dislike teens.

Think, read, or some other mental distraction. Drive around the countryside aimlessly is fun, too. I love mountains. And then there is of course playing with my naughty bits.
