I don't think there's a short cut to the truth, even if it sounds raw to the inferior. Truth is truth because it never changes, only that we mature and understand it better.

True. I'm asking about the Christian, though. Let's say she advises you on how to be closer to that truth. She should be following a similar course of action, right? Morally walking the walk?

yes. Walking the walk is the only way to be most convincing. It means you are applying yourself to the standard that you've prescribed.
