Do I really need this?

I live in an apartment. Just the basic needs are fine. But mostly a lot of people who come visit me say I look miserable. I just have a wifi. My work computer. A mattress on the floor, drawer for clothes.on my kitchen its just the rice cooker. A dish rack. An electric stove and thats it..no whatsover decorations. I dont really think I need them. Idk i kinda feel embarassed whenever people come inside my apartment. I kinda like to earn money so i dont buy a lot of stuff.

Might be good to get some more cooking supplies and broaden your horizons, but you don't have to buy a bed or decorations if you don't feel it's important to you personally.

If you’re genuinely happy with the feel of your environment then open with that. If you’re spending your money in ways that bring you joy or saving for something that matters to you then open with that.

People may be misinterpreting your environment like if it’s dirty or you have a lot of half-broken things etc as a sign of depression.

That said, if your apartment isn’t a comfortable a atmosphere (clean-ish, places to comfortably sit/eat, neutral or pleasant smelling etc) for visitors then.. don’t be surprised if they’re not comfortable. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Easier to just not invite them over since you’ve designed your space for your comfort, not hospitality (which is totally fine)

It’s normal to live like this when you first move out. Ignore their ignorant comments. How many of them have full furnished houses ?

Some people prefer to live minimalist. Don't let anyone tell you your clutter free way is wrong.
i have had less you are young and who know what and where you will wind up.. all the best

As long as you're saving it you'll be able to retire when you're 45.
Some people buy evvvverything and it's just a mess.

If you are happy that's all that matters.
