Yes and no. It depends in the individual. It would probably be a good thing if we took more note of and applied the "7th generation principle" which apparently originated with the Iroquois native Americans.
We are not living that way now and our children and grandchildren etc. are going to suffer because of it.

The octogenarians perhaps. They are the real 'salt of the earth' in this country. My generation and the next are both tainted with too much 'meism' wussification, and a misplaced sense of entitlement.
