He was driving down the road, approaching a small industrial estate, when he says he felt a *pop*. He's guessing that he ran over something in the road way.

The only part of it that doesn't make sense to me is that he claims that he was stopped by the police after the incident had happened - and he told the officer to go and check that stretch of road before he was allowed to continue on his way.

Logic tells me that a flat tyre on a car makes it unroadworthy - and no police officer would allow you to drive for almost a mile like that... even if you don't have a locking nut removal tool.

However, I also doubt my logic there because I know that my man has also finished a journey on a similarly (though not as bad as that) shredded tyre, too. I trust and believe him more than soon to be ex. In both cases, the rims themselves weren't affected to the point where my man would have mentioned it to me. Of course, I know where my man was going that day, but not how far away from his destination he was when it happened and I know that he did a "roadside repair" to better protect his rim, too.

Something tells me that the part involving the police didn't happen, though.
