If you had $1 million dollars to donate (and it must be given away) which charities would you help?

Am I allowed to gift some % to religious establishments..?

I would give to various charities.. Ones to help poor families and homeless people and other things..

I perfer to gift to orgs I know personally that way they aren't scam orgs.

Some people use good causes to make nice people donate to them and then they line their own pockets with the $$
