Do you think $850 is too much to pay for 2 movers, a truck, and four hours, and a bitchy flight of staris in the ice and snow?

@cherokeepatti That is very true! And then, there is the unpacking to be done as well, which you are often too tired to handle if you have been moving all day.

@MeowsoliniReturns I borrowed a large van and moved for days into this house. It was in December and I’d open the garage door, drive in, close the door and unload boxes and bring them inside. I’d unpack the boxes & laundry baskets & put stuff up & then take them back to the apartment and refill them. Had some linens and things in large garbage bags too. Had help getting the big furniture, it was one or two pickup loads but that was it. Did everything else myself. Closed on the house Dec 24, and had to be out of the apartment by Dec 31, I was off of work during that time but needed another week to get things organized so I took off another week. It wasn’t easy.

@MeowsoliniReturns Lucky for me at the apartment the parking spot was right in front of my door. So that saved a lot of time for me. I also bought a 2-wheeler hand truck to make it easier to load up boxes and take the outside to the car.
