What has this pandemic taught you?

It taught me to trust my instincts. I learnt a lot of other life lessons too.

I'm curious as to whether this period brought out some positivity despite everything happening all over the world. Kindly share if you felt a positivity in your lifestyle or if you've learnt something new about yourself.

Nothing much new, but it's emphasized seriousness of some issues:

~ the prevalence and dangers of fake news & the need for an effective and widespread means of counteracting and reducing it. It think it should be made illegal to publish information that can be proven to be false.

~ The extraordinary blindness and danger of people who choose to believe something that is untrue because it allows them to feel more comfortable. I think this could be addressed in primary school and upwards, continually throughout all aspects of education.

~ How well some communities pull together and help each other when there's an emergency and they take the science seriously.

~ When seeing how well the most successful countries coped, it's clear that collective action could save us from the worst effects of climate change within twelve years if the will of all governments could be gained.

~ Tremendous advances are being made in epidemiology due to the increased funding of research.

~ It may prove a very good thing if international trade drops and more countries become self-sufficient for essential items. It would certainly help boost local employment.
