I believe it was closed several months before EP came to an end.

@Poppies Are you sure? I think you might have this confused with answerMug…
Unexpectedly, Answerbag shut down on December 15, 2015. Members had no warning, and instantly lost all their data and personal messages that were hosted on the website. Without the opportunity to touch base with friends before AB closed, members were essentially cast to the wind.

@Rutterman I thought it had reappeared as Answermug. I know I joined Answermug for like a minute after EP closed but it was never really a good fit.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard answerMug wasn't a good fit for me either. I abandoned my account there after about 5 or 6 weeks.
Answerbag and answerMug were/are separate sites. After further investigation, it looks like AB might have re-opened, but I can't tell for sure.

@Rutterman Answermug wasn't an answer to EP 😂
Kicked me off for complaining about Billy
Kicked me off for complaining about Billy

@SW-User They can't say they weren't warned about Billy. Those fools should have kicked him off, not you.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@Rutterman Billy Was also on Relate To That Another Q&A Site there was A Petition To Ban Billy From Relate To That lol a lot of members thought he was ruining that site
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@Rutterman That Man has ruined Some Q&A Sites Yahoo Answers Should Be Lucky He Wasn't One There He Would Be Banned Quick LOL They Have Cenorship There lol
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@JohnOinger I remember seeing him there before they kicked me off the site. Janet (the woman who ran R2T) would stupidly reply to his comments instead of simply deleting them, which only made matters worse. I would argue that the way they handled Billy and trolls generally (e.g., starting to charge membership fees in the hope it would deter trolls from joining and imposing increasingly severe restrictions on content) did in fact contribute to the demise of the site. But there were other things too, like the fact that it was boring as hell. lol
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@JohnOinger It's widely rumored that he has been arrested and charged with some serious crimes. If true, he won't be bothering anyone on social media for many years to come, if ever.

@Rutterman That was a snorefest...I got kicked off RLT for defending people they kicked off and people's right to reminisce about EP which she didn't want anyone there to do.

SW-User
@Rutterman Weird they'd defend him

@Rutterman Answerbag definitely still exists. Or perhaps it was revived. Anyway it is at https://www.answerbag.com and I just registered. But it seems that the registration process includes a manual step at their end because it tells me that an admin will activate it soon; very odd.
